Not only will we be paying a high wage to Grant, we even gave the option of extending to HIM; as if he gave some sort of footballing master class when he was on loan.

Bang-up job by Barrow, the manager who should never have been.

The Smith situation is just the latest example of why I have lost all faith with the board.

I don't see much wriggle room with that list, so much for freeing-up cash to bring in the quality of player we need. I don't see much difference in playing style either, more punts and percentages.

We just have to match Ruther B&Q wages for him to sign.

4or 5? You've started early!

I'm guessing with Smith he was offered a new contract at the same time as Pearson and then the Board didn't want to announce it whilst he was injured. But that was probably the wrong decision. They should have just come clean.

I sometimes wonder if people actually watch games.
Me too. What you've had to resort to in this post speaks volumes i'm afraid. We drew the Newport game at home so not too many or serious problems caused there. A great example of a nearly man.
If all you've got for an attacking player is occasional good movement and that player is a winger then that should tell you something. You've inadvertently trashed him there ER.

All the Manny situation needed was a simple statement along the lines of:

'We're pleased that Manny has signed an extension with us, even if the timing was unfortunate as he sustained a long term injury soon after.

'We see him as an important part of the squad and will continue to support him so that he can return to action once he is back to full fitness.'

Can hardly see anyone kicking off over that.

Why would anybody offer a player who at the time was out of action with a long term knee injury and has a history of knee problems, a new deal???

If we’re going into next season with Smith, Pearson and Lawlor, it’s going to be cost effective to play 3 at the back.

No but that would need some degree of honesty and professionalism.
