I think the list is fair enough in my opinion apart from keeping Grant. Keeping 5 centre back signals to me playing a 5-3-2 with wing backs, Jennings and one other. I think Oswell might come good with pre-season and a striking partner.

Happy with those released. I'd probably have cut a bit further but I'm not devastated, depends who we bring in. I'd have got rid of Rutherford and Summerfield and ideally not kept grant but looks like we had no choice.

I like Fondop but realistically he has to go and interested to see who else may be leaving from the defence as 5 CBs is too much.

You might be happy to sit down and shut up, but I think it's appalling and am not shy about saying.

I wish I could 'not bother' but that's pretty difficult when you genuinly care and you've supported ted the club over 30 years.

It could signal a change in formation. I mean a back five could be interesting. Pearson, Lawlor and either Smith or Kennedy is a pretty intimidating back line.
Two decent fullbacks and it could work.

I believe next season could be tough so retaining a squad which got 80 odd points can’t be too bad. Hopefully we’ll strengthen as well.

Hopefully Grant can get himself fit and motivated. There’s a player in there but he has to get fitter without doubt.

No real surprise at all . Think we need a Ferguson Peter
Ward type midfielder and of course two if possible new
forwards . We did not really need wholesale changes as
the back 4 except Roberts have done well . Lainton
would be a massive coup and 4 to 6 good new players .

Player exercised option; Bobby Grant for another season. Who the flip is drawing up these contracts?

Probably explains why he kept playing Grant. Might have known Grant was staying and was hoping to get the supposed player he is to appear.

The same ones who forced the managers job on someone who didn’t want it and the same ones who appointed Mike Newell. #HRGuru
