Have said the exact same. His touch and composure is consistently one of the best in this team and has been for some time.

See far too many players come and go who have the physical and technical capabilities, but just lack the footballing brain.

At this league it’s rare to find a player with both, as those who do quickly move up the leagues.

Carrington is a manager's dream.Great attitude, reliable and can play in several positions.

However we need a specialist RB who has the ability to get up and down that touchline and get crosses in.Roberts was a poor defender (never busted a gut to stop a cross) and got a nose bleed over the halfway line

Carrington is fine back up for injuries and suspensions

Agreed. On a budget a couple of these versatile players are invaluable

Never thought I'd say this but that's great news.

Don’t forget if we switch to 3-5-2 we would need 2 wing backs , Jennings would fit the bill ,but would Carrington ?

I bet he’s still wondering why Hughes preferred Roberts ahead of him over the last set of matches and especially in the play-off game. Yet Roberts is released and Carra offered a new contract.

Roberts was a better defender and his win ratio when he started backs that up. He gave us a good 2 seasons and helped made us a hard to beat but now is the time to invest in a pacy attacking right back.
