Wrexham AFC winger Paul Rutherford delighted to sign new contract
I bet he is delighted otherwise he’d be in the evostick and having to go cap in hand back to B&Q
I can only assume that BH is content with the midfielders currently at the club (if Summerfield stays) or he thinks he can get better then Augustien. I hope its the latter.

We need:
Two central midfielders.
One to replace Walker who can run a game like Fowler and Keates used to and another who can actually control a football, pass, doesn't vanish for large parts of games and can get from box to box.

Three forward players, preferably two wide players who do more than just run around a lot to no effect.
Tollitt is a done deal apparently, plus crewered said we have a striker who has agreed to sign.
So that leaves one more, hopefully pace and power in abundance. I would love to see Pyke back here, he was just starting to come good and look the part. But I don't see it as he finished the season at Rochdale.
So Crewered is on the board? WST in the Know? Or the players agent.

My point is we've heard all these comments by different fans every season and the player who's agreed to sign never turns up, but if as rumoured from relegated a National North club he must be cheap as chips and not exactly an exciting signing just another gamble like Fondop last season.
I liked Pyke although I thought he could do a lot better, like all loanees they are not bothered as they know they will be going back to their parenting club, simply speaking won't bust a gut, Walker was the exception. But Pyke seems another injury prone player he didn't last long at Rochdale and spent some time out here injured.
Tollit will be a good signing, because of Barrow his loan wasn't extended until the end of season in January plus he wouldn't players him. He could of been the difference to us going up.

Here is an interesting thread from two years ago regarding Rutherford. Some predicting he would 'come good'. I'm wasted on here..

A player like Willoughby would, IMO, be an exciting season. It depends on your definition of what esciting means. If it is only an established goal scorer then I reckon you're destined to be disappointed

The same could be said about people wanting Rickets sacked after the Telford pre season friendly defeat. Equally, when Lainton signed some complained about him being a 'glass man' and another poor signing after a quick Wikipedia check. I class myself as a fence sitter as oppose to frother or happy clapper/nodding dog :)

isn't he doing exactly what defensive Darlington wants... closing down players and harrying opponents in they own half..... oh sorry you thought he was playing for us a winger and receive coaching for that role!
