Dibble is at least as good as Lainton (imo), so we shouldn't panic at all over replacing Lainton.
Even though he is merely a bench-warmer week after week, whenever he has been called upon he has played really well.

I've always been a fan of Dibble's. I did think he was unlucky to be 2nd choice behind Chris Dunn in 17/18 (thought Dibble was the best keeper we had that season by a fair bit) although Lainton more than proved himself as 1st choice this season.

I'd like to keep Lainton - I think most of us would - but I don't think we'd have a goalkeeping crisis if he left with Dibble and a replacement 2nd choice.

To be fair, usually when Dibble has played he has been up to the task.
But he is not as good a keeper as Lainton. I know who I'd prefer as number one

Bearing in mind we don't know all the facts I think BH has probably made a fair fist of the retained list.
I remember Sir Denis saying you don't really want to be signing more than 6 players permanently in the close season and with those released and a couple that probably wont re-sign then 5 or 6 is about right.
We can top up with decent loanees if there are injuries loss of form etc.
