Wrexham Council's arts service are running something on "Wrexham’s footballing heritage" - I would have thought many more would have heard about it, I am told promotion is very good etc etc so thought would test that out.

Anyone been or anyone aware of the council exhibition, and know why the club do not seem to be involved?

Re: Futbolka

The event itself seems to have very little relevance to Wrexham AFC, though anything football-related ought to be encouraged if it can help create some awareness of our club.

This page in the Wrexham Council News publication explains a little about the event: https://news.wrexham.gov.uk/its-all-kicking-off-at-ty-pawb-this-spring/

Maybe some local people could ask Cllr Hugh Jones to explain how the Council can provide £150,000 towards helping grass roots football in the area, at a time when thousands of people are clamouring for it (the Council) to re-develop a facility at Y Cae Ras that would probably do a lot more to enhance the Council's reputation among the thousands of Wrexham fans in the community (see: https://news.wrexham.gov.uk/football-focus-as-sports-council-awards-100000-for-improvements/ )

Why ask him? Well, Lead Member for People – Communities, Partnerships Public Protection and Community Safety, Cllr Hugh Jones, said: “It is very fitting that Tŷ Pawb’s latest exhibition celebrates football, a sport which is such a huge part of Wrexham’s heritage.
