Likewise I can remember enjoying the 69 promotion season, I probably started in 68 so 51 years for me, it’s in the blood, a few promotions and obviously 2 more relegation as we’re lower than ever 😢
Lots of highs Winning at Wembley, C Palace Sours Southampton Millennium drawing at Anderlecht, home games in Div 2 (championship) in doc 3 with 18000+ , the 7-1 win v Rotherham to take us up in 78.
It’s bean amazing rollercoaster
And yes even though there’s been so many lows
The highs make up for it

Port Vale fans !!!

Some great games since then and even the odd great season.

Non league for 12 seasons is a shocker but the gates we are still getting are a testament to the fan base.
Eddie May Gareth Davies
Albert Kinsey
European games !

Yes lots of highs and lows to keep our attention. I remember seeing a stat many years ago of where our average season end position was in the 92 over our history. If memory serves me right we were mid to top of tier 4. It would be interesting , for me at least , if some stats guru could tell me our average position now. Before our descent would be handy too add perspective

Nearly 53 years for me - 1966-67. Our promotion challenge fizzled out because we could not win away and we finished 7th but we were unbeaten at home. Our average attendance was 8,500, second only to the champions Stockport. The other promoted clubs were Tranmere, Barrow and Southport. It took us another 3 years to win promotion.

Sixty three years for me since my first game against Manchester United in 1957.
Although I enjoy watching Liverpool I couldn't imagine what it would be like to support any other team than Wrexham.
Like everyone has said there has been some great times and fantastic victories.

The last few seasons for me have been the absolute pits - we play dour defensive football with mostly average players and totally devoid of excitement. This league is awful and I can't see it getting any better.
I will never stop supporting my team no matter what happens but although I don't expect us to match the 'glory days' I would like to see a return to playing 'the Wrexham way' - everyone who has been supporting for many years will know exactly what that means.

Yes. He was called Billy Large. Used to jump on the pitch at the Kop end Sealand rd. Got chased off by the police on many occasions too.
In the war he was a PE instructor in the army. Only died a few years back in his late 90s. There are loads of funny tales about Billy but to be honest it's Deva Chat where you need to ask about him as this is a Wrexham message board

I do remember him entertaining the fans on the pitch. As a youngster I found him hilarious and he often got a bigger cheer than the players. I don't recall the police escorting him off and I always thought he was part of the accepted half time entertainment.

A few of us went to Old Trafford to support Chester in the FA Cup ( Some WFC fans did in those days and vica vera). I seem to think he went on the Old Trafford pitch pre match ? I am not sure.
CFC had a massive following that day against one of Uniteds best ever sides.

If that match was circa 1965, Albert Kinsey scored the winner for United.
