Kennedy was good but likely to be third choice at best.
at least he has decided early and not messed the club around

Agreed that Tharme is good enough now but he isn't better than Pearson or Lawler. The lad needs to be playing at his age but baring injuries, I can't see him getting that many opportunities with us.
If that's the case, farm him out to someone else at this level, stipulate that he should play except against us and let's see how he develops.

It's along the lines of the 10,000 hours theory. To get better, you need to be putting in the time doing not just training.

Cements Pearson to stop then, if SP was even considering a move, they would have deffo signed KK

I'm in the minority but I think this has negative undertones.

There's no smoke without fire, I reckon Manny is sadly finished so we are now 3 CB's.Tharme is very green and isn't ready to step in if SP was out for a month for example. That really leaves SP and Lawlor as mainstays week in week out.

Why would we offer him anything if we didn't want him ?

I'm really concerned that the ridiculous on going training facility shinanegins and probable derogatory offer has seen a very decent player say "shove it".

Hope I'm wide of the mark. Our first couple of signings will make our intentions clear and will decide several hundred season ticket sales

We will sign someone else. Bog standard back up centre halves are everywhere.

I work at a couple of premier league clubs training facilites occasionally and the importance placed on this surprised me, granted at premier league level it's a little different to the national league!!!

Sadly, we have nothing to show.
Pampered ? How many non league players do you think are "pampered" ?

I think if they wanted to keep him they would have had further talks with him, and sort something out.

That’s true, we picked Kennedy and Lawlor (from a promotion rival) up mid-season with ease.

agree with this

I'm not reading too much in to him leaving, players come and go from what I have heard it is likely we matched his Shrewsbury pay for last season and offered him less for next term.

I just hope Manny isn't finished and can still do a job for us
