Such is the standard and level of inconsistency as a whole down here and high turnover of players, then if you slag most signings off then you'll have at least half to goad about. The guy got a 6 month deal after pre-season. Hardly some epic fail. A punt on a guy who looked like he might have been a find.

Quigley on a 3 year deal is a big gamble, however. He could very well do well but he could do his hamstrings and Barrow are lumped with him for aeons. No way would I want us to take such a gamble though.

Hopefully next season we sign players with pace, that will usually make up for a lack of technical ability that can be taught. Pace scares everyone, even if they're pants.

Do Barrow have some financial backing happening again on the quiet?
New management team, few players in and also what seems a crazy contract for a player plagued by injury for 2 years. Another improving team to contend with?

He is history. Great potential but yet to achieve much. Injuries galore, best avoided. Look at Barrows gates - they must have a sugar daddy. Jealous? You bet.
