If we do go 3-5-2, my only worry with Jennings is that sometimes he seems to be blowing heavy early on. Maybe that's because he was being a wing back in a 4-3-3 though. He can make the space for, and deliver a good cross. Glad he's staying.

You can't say that on here, Darlington is to blame for EVERYTHING!

Great news Jennings and Lainton re-signing but only worrying aspect is if play 433 need another 5 to go with Young in the front 6.In a 442 think Oswell could be okay but not a 433 striker as shown last year.Wright and unfortunately still here Grant and Rutherford are bench options but all 3 share common denominator of poor finishers.Would prefer Summerfield to reject deal as last thing we need is someone likely to miss half the season. Can see a comparison to Keates who missed a large amount of games in his last 2 seasons.Had better quality that time to carry him.
5 starters is a big ask.

I’ve watched the lad Chester have just signed a few times. He’s better and would have made a step up.

Happy with this, a decent pacy RB who can get forward and our defence is looking decent.

The continuity is also a plus. Lainton, Jennings, Pearson, Lawlor, Young, Carrington Rutherford and Wright all have the right attitude and represent a solid base to build on. The key question now is whether the club have the money and the manager has the nous, to add the quality in midfield, out wide and up front.

Where's PD? He will be sickened by the resigning of Jennings.

Or as he calls him 'Jennings 4'
