The way I see it, the stand would be owned by the Welsh Govt and the FAW and Wrexham AFC allowed to use it on match days. We’d effectively relinquish control of it.
Does it matter that much as long as it can be used?

Or we buy the ground, we build a stand and house the museum charging the WAG rent.

As regards the cost of running it. No museum makes money so it would require central funding to cover the running costs and upkeep - as it would wherever it is housed.
It would definitely be a good thing. I'm just unsure where the rest of the money is coming from 4.4 million is a great start and there may be stuff like Lottery funding but you'd expect a local partner to provide some capital funding, either WBC or the club, and I doubt either have that sort of money. This would have been a good project for European money but I doubt that's an option in the current climate.

If it's housed in an existing museum with existing curatorial staff etc it a likely to cost less for upkeep than if its a brand new facility.

A brand spanking new stand with state of the art National football museum and club shop attached would be amazing but when have we ever been that lucky?

The UNI as it would be on their land. We'd probably end up paying additional rent for an improved facility.

Presumably they wouldn’t own the stand? They’d own the land but have given the football club a 99 year lease.

We'd need their permission to put it up.
We'd also need their permission to take it away.
In many respects we would be building an asset for the Uni.

The last statement from gov.wales stated that they paid £10m for a joint arts/football feasibility study, and seem to strongly suggest that Wrexham was the preferred location for the museum
https://gov.wales/written-statement-...ntemporary-art

But surely a bit of joined up thinking from FWA and WAG could solve two problems at the same time by locating the museum at Y Cae Ras? There is no better location, and especially as we are led to believe that FAW are trying to secure the land behind the kop. A bulk of the history that they are intending to display is already here.
