Seems a very poor document to me as it doesn't address the areas that caused the January fallout. Namely, what information is allowable for the club board to not share with the Trust board and what is the policy on board members found to be leaking confidential information
I disagree. I think the policy gives us a very good indication of what went wrong. There's a lot of detail about how changes to the budget should be authorised (item 6), which suggests that may have been a problem in the past. And there's a lot about appointing staff (item 8) which we know as been a problem in the past.

As for what information should be shared, the document is very clear. Anything pertinent to the Football Club's Key Performance Indicators (which will surely include league position and management) must be shared with the Trust Board at EVERY meeting.

Leaking would be very difficult to deal with in a document like this because we want transparency. It would probably need a document all on its own.

But the document puts in place steps to ensure it doesn't happen again and to make the process more transparent. The lack of such a document was probably a major contribution to the row – Trust Board members and Football Board members no doubt had different views as to what each should do. This document removes any uncertainty.

Crucially, the new process will formally:
  1. Hold the Football Board accountable to the Trust Board for financial performance (6) and on-pitch performance (7).
  2. Ensure the Football Board's performance is discussed at all Trust Board meetings and minutes made available to members (5.1 and 5.6).
  3. Ensure that all staff appointments and sackings must be ratified by the Trust Board (8.1).
  4. Prevent the Football Board spending more money than has been agreed (6).

No. It's already been implemented. It can be discussed at the AGM, though.

The Football Club Board is the answerable to the Trust Board, which is in turn answerable to the membership.

I don't see how that can work on a day-to-day basis.

Gavin is not legal, he is line manager for Commercial and stadium, so Geoff and Phil B would come under him.

Apologies. Just know he had a lot to do with the lease etc. so assumed (incorrectly) he did some of the legal work.
Thanks for the clarification.

Hence my point on structure and roles. Spencer comments on budget yet isn’t finance, Mills is IT so what is his responsibility for ST problems etc. Etc.

We all comment on the budget.
John Mills isn't responsible for our extended season. As Geoff pointed out, we Couldn't start to upgrade, alter our ticketing system until after the Eastleigh game. I would suggest that as a precaution any development on that score would have been put back until after the play off final (In case)

Too true
Lets hope recruitment builds some optimism and the board can maybe think about some improvements.
