Re: National League Updates 2019/20 Season II
Just clocked that Kings Lynn Town are top of the Conference North under the stewardship of one Steve Cleeve. Every chance they'll be playing at a step higher than us next season. Not saying he was the messiah, but he was given very short shrift from most Wxm fans I know.
This steadfast refusal to countenance any kind of private investment whatsoever is what is killing this club. Don't think that's being overly dramatic, the club is dying in front of our eyes. |

Re: National League Updates 2019/20 Season II
Not necessarily - but they are surely not operating at a sustainable level - relegation from the football league and two relegation battles will have reduced attendances but it's no use spending the same outlay as when they were in L2 - clubs have to cut their cloth accordingly.
They have a fantastic new modern stadium which should be the envy of every club in the National League - but similar to Bury and latterly Macclesfield, those in charge simply have to get the books balanced. Some clubs seem to be able to manage it properly - others simply can't - Bury were a prime example and Macclesfield continue to dice with death - they have had plenty of warnings - even when they went up as Champions they were not paying their staff - perhaps some clubs are gambling on the outcome - overspend on players in the hope the gamble comes off - but what if it doesn't ? |
