Jermaine Hylton, who was at Solihull last season, would be a good signing.
Probably a bit different to current crop. Its still 11 vs 11 so they may have to offload some. |
Re: National League Updates 2018/2019 Season
Torquay sign Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Colovan from Worthing and Dagenham sign winger Harold Odametey from Maidenhead.

Well blooody hell. Solihull going for it, didn’t think that would happen.

And also the ‘good players don’t move until later in the window’ excuse. We miss out time and time again, and end up scraping the barrel of conference journeymen. We’ll end up signing a former footgolf champion, and get a press release about an ‘exciting prospect’ that has ‘transferable skills’ lol |

My post didn’t mean to seem so surprised at that thought. Hopefully McCallum forgets to bring his shooting boots. |

Well if that is true Pearson will surely leave very soon, the going rate for the best central defender in the league will be much much higher. |

Where has the extra 1200 above budgeted attendances gone ? Danny Ward installments ? Fa Cup run ? Keates pay off ? Ricketts pay off ? Stereophonics gig ? Surely this coming season we can afford better quality than previous seasons in this division. |

Re: National League Updates 2018/2019 Season
Was told by club staff that a big portion of the Danny Ward money was spunked on the fancy CCTV system that The Racecourse now has, so that accounts for a big wedge of the cash we did have.

Should hopefully prevent stock from being stolen from the club shop |
Re: National League Updates 2018/2019 Season
Based on the fuzzy picture they put of the fella nicking the shirts in the shop the All Bells & Whistles system they’ve got in the ground didn’t extend to the shop!!!

That's bull. The Ward transfer is worth around £1.5m to us. By a "big portion" , that implies over half ? So, what you're implying is we've spent over £750k on a CCTV system. I think you're scaremongering, and that's coming from someone who's been bitterly critical of the board over the past 12 months |

I’m only stating what I was told! Got to see it first hand in the control room & it’s very fancy in fairness! No corner inside the ground isn’t covered!

We've all been told stories that are clearly a crock of shit but the common sense in you stops you repeating it on here. Stating that we've spent a significant amount of £1.5m on a CCTV system is your choice but it's not very clever in hindsight is it. |

I'd imagine more like 60-75k to be honest, company I work for in Shropshire spent £40,000 last year on a 10,000metre square warehouse, 42 Wide Angle cameras at 1080p Res, including software and hardware support contracts (Those were £5k alone), network switches to supply PoE (Another £1000) and only 6 are Night Vision enabled, I imagine the club would have a lot more (Covering entrance/exits, night vision, probably remote monitoring, so forth) If MrP had said 'We used a lot of the first installment of 200k on CCTV' then I wouldnt be at all surprised if that was true given figures above. Assuming what he says is actually true anyway. |

They've been able to do that for years, I went in there with my son years ago when he was mascot and got the tour, the cctv then could pick faces out of the crowd anywhere in the ground. And even if it has been upgraded I doubt it cost hundreds of thousands of pounds |

When you say Wrexham you mean the town centre I take it? If the club has spent that kind of money on CCTV then I'm not sure priorities are in the right place. |
