Silly Fylde, don’t they know the better players become available later on the week before the season kicks off?
Fylde are going for it aren't they.

I wonder what that feels like?
Could be a replacement for Rowe.

Kosylo and Williams on board already....we can only dream of our lot being so proactive at this stage of pre-season......sounds like they are a Club that know what they want and know how to get it.....may be something to do with an experienced manager and a well organised board of directors with financial backing....we can only dream of that as well:)

I am more impressed with the signings Fylde have made than Solihull. Solihull have also lost 2 key attackers. I make Fylde the team to beat next year based on what we know so far.

He looked really good a few years ago for Barrow.

Fylde and Solihull looking decent already.

As BH was expecting signings this week and Kosylo, Williams, McCallum have all gone elsewhere, there's a fairly good chance we were trying to sign at least one of those and missed out.

Don't worry we have a player lined up from the Scottish pub league... Allegedly.

Dont see the logic :)
It would appear that we are struggling to finalise players and thats a guess.

Rochdale paid £100K and then sent him on loan to Lincoln - how much money do Fylde have or are they selling Rowe?

Impressive signing

Only wish we were building year on year
Can only hope for good news later today or next week

Re: National League Updates 2019/20 Season II

Sorry, but looking at his stats, I don’t get the Jordan Williams enthusiasm. Like Kosylo, the first thing a lot of us do is look at a players stats.
Would this enthusiasm be so prevalent if we’d signed either based on the stats I wonder?
I’m not disputing that either would be better than what we have/had.

pagl 31st May 2019 13.10:08

Re: National League Updates 2019/20 Season II

Everyone uses stats for their own convenience. Like Ruthers with top assists that were about 7 and 2 of them were mis-hits.

For me its about ability, creativity and balancing players with current ones.
Kosylo and Williams look good to complement Rowe.

The mistake we made last season was not balancing Fondop with an experienced CF.
That was the priority and should have been where we spent the money. Better to have the 1 better player than 3 loanees IMO.

Teifi Red 31st May 2019 13.24:19

Re: National League Updates 2019/20 Season II

Fair enough. Complementing other players I can agree to a certain extent. Hopefully we will see the same philosophy of getting players that suits a system that BH wants to play next season.
But, the goals and assist stats for Kosylo and Williams are nothing special. As an aside, their discipline is in the same class as Jay Harris :eek:
I'd imagine more like 60-75k to be honest, company I work for in Shropshire spent £40,000 last year on a 10,000metre square warehouse, 42 Wide Angle cameras at 1080p Res, including software and hardware support contracts (Those were £5k alone), network switches to supply PoE (Another £1000) and only 6 are Night Vision enabled, I imagine the club would have a lot more (Covering entrance/exits, night vision, probably remote monitoring, so forth)

If MrP had said 'We used a lot of the first installment of 200k on CCTV' then I wouldnt be at all surprised if that was true given figures above. Assuming what he says is actually true anyway.
Depends on which brand of CCTV were used. Hikvision is excellent and by far the best these days. Just hope they got it installed from a genuine reseller. Lots of fake, foreign and hacked CCTV these days!!

Still light years ahead of our midfields current set up. Its small steps we need and if we had those stats added on to what we had last season chances are we would be up. We can't afford another season of Rutherford and Summerfield doing nothing.

AFC Fylde sign 21 year old striker Kurt Willoughby from FC United of Manchester who scored 19 goals for them last season.

Play Off winners Salford City sign Oscar Threlkeld from Belgium club Waasland - Bevrent. Threlkeld was on loan for most of last season at Plymouth Argyle and can play centre back or midfield - they were reported to be making a signing today and they have - thankfully the rumours it was to be Tollitt have not proved true - for now anyway.

So far Salford have signed a player who was a first team regular in the Championship and a player who was playing in League one.

I can't see them going for Tollitt.

Surprised by that. Couple of fans I work with think the takeover deals are DOA and Hardy wants nothing more to do with it. They were convinced they would be in Admin today.

Possibly on the plus side for us is the longer this rumbles on for them then theres less chance of them splashing out on players.

Doubt were on anyones piddle list.
Were too concerned with others and potential rogue owners and need to move on.

Its about what we do, our decisions, our spending, our recruitment.
The sooner we get our football house in order the better. :)

I believe the extension takes them to a few days after the National League AGM - so if the takeover has not been finalised by then could they possibly be refused entry to the National League on financial grounds?

Based on rumours.
Bit disappointed with Willoughby but Fylde can pay more.
Tollitt obviously going to be in demand and sounds like a league club.
Think dippers got a decent RB with Morgan and their LB but doubt were even aware of these players.
Williams from Kiddy if we have any money left.
White RB. Research that one.
Hulme possibly.

We're a bit of a graveyard for forwards these days though, even Beck started scoring when he left.
We need to promise a change of style to any potential signings first and foremost.
