The point is that it’s about business sense. Like at Man City crowd sizes are irrelevant. Money is going in by other means and use of the car park is one.
Just imagine if we had land and could use it for say park and ride in the week and on match day. It’s then an additional earner. Its why a lot of clubs improve their revenue base and position. Some don't spend it well or actually have the ownership to the income as it goes to the investors (so here is part of what do the investors get answered. It’s recurring revenue and something every investor wants in todays low interest rates. You get 2% in a bank or can get 6-7% plus upwards in other ways then it’s a no brainer.

You say business sense but hiring the car park and letting Birmingham ladies play there 12 times a year will not bring in the million or two to pay for this talented squad

They own their ground and the car park land. If the club goes belly up they can get their money back by selling either or both.

We own nothing thanks to ........

To be fair the Solihull owners seem to be genuinely interested in football. Solihull is an affluent area and there are definite advantages to building them up. It seems like a club that could make a go of it in the football league if built up properly. They've already put in motion (sensible) plans to redevelop the ground. There are assets there but they don't seem to be owners with half an eye on property development or asset stripping.

There are plenty of decent owners out there. And plenty of ways to make money or other benefits of owning a football club other than selling off the ground. It's just not as much of a get rich quick scheme.

We've been burnt twice and I think the worry about private ownership is understand. But let's face it, the majority of football owners are OK, or at least not a danger to their club in the same way as Hamilton, Gutterman, Moss and Dickens etc.

Sorry to have to say this, but right now WST ownership presents a massive danger to the club, not due to any dodgy dealing, but due to incompetence in the way they are allowing the club to be run, and an inability, or unwillingness, to do anything about it.
