Even then it took Kayden a good while - and then he left.

Moult was somehow second choice to Bishop for a spell. And then the board sold him with Mills permission, as he thought Gray could do better.

Wilkin reasons at that time was about Moults wife having a baby and don't forget he only turned full time that season, plus Bishop had a purple patch and his goals got us to the stoke match.

Jackson showed a little bit of promise and someone took a gamble on him higher up the food chain. He achieved nothing at Wrexham.

Moult scored a good few goals but Andy Bishop was generally preferred - rightly or wrongly. Again he achieved very little at Wrexham.

Tilt is another one that achieved nothing at Wrexham other than show a bit of promise and someone again took a punt on him.

All we are is the basement full-time option to players either on their way down or looking to make the step up. Everything in between is out of our grasp.

We either end up with a Beavon or Fondop.

I'd disagree that Moult achieved nothing didn't he score 20+ in one season? The others I'd agree with albeit they've gone on to do well and clearly were too good for this level

John how can you have a purple patch when you only score 14 in 77 league matches?

Notts County winding up hearing adjourned until 10th July to allow the club time to complete take-over deal.

As Jonesfach says below your post a purple patch of probably his best spell for us except his short loan spell, in general yes he wasn't good enough but in Wilkin defence he was playing well in that short spell, don't forget Wilkin brought Moult and knew him well, their is things that happen we don't know about, as I said it was the first season Moult turned professional it could of been a fitness issue who knows... But hindsight is a wonderful thing.
