On 16 August 2017, Green signed for Viking in Norway. Approximately three months later, on 21 November 2017, his contract was terminated due to incidents off the pitch.

Anyone speak Norwegian?
https://www.aftenbladet.no/100Sport/...n-245769b.html
I think Google Translate might be on the blink:

"Green had quarantine and was not with the team to Trondheim this weekend, instead, unfortunate extraterrestrial things happened that made Viking choose to cancel the contract and send him back to England immediately.

- Viking also did not renew the residence permit for Green, what is the explanation?

- We are in the process of applying for a renewed residence permit, but understood that he could not stay here, says Eirik W. Henningsen."

a ropey translation with enough to get the meaning.

The 21-year-old who came to Stavanger this summer has already returned to England.

Daily manager of Viking, confirms the case against Aftenbladet.

- Outsourcing conditions meant that we chose to cancel the contract with Green, Henningsen explains.

George Green was picked up by ex-coach Ian Burchnall who knew the 21-year-old from before. Green was considered one of the greatest talent in England in the teens, as a 15-year-old at premier league and Everton, but failed to make the transition from his formerly confident amateur life.

In a frank interview with The Guardian, young Green did not hide the fact that he had mental problems and struggled with life.

The talent, however, was never doubtful, it was that and the boy Viking and Ian Burchnall tried to take care of, the talent he also showed the Vikings audience so well that he managed to excite in a short time.

Green had quarantine and was not with the team to Trondheim this weekend, instead, unfortunate extraterrestrial things happened that made Viking choose to cancel the contract and send him back to England immediately.

Yes he was frustrating and it was obvious he lacked fitness plus he was also unlucky with an injury.

I think a good pre-season and play football instead of hoofball and he will come good.

A positive post, you feeling okay?
I agree that he is not a out and out striker and was being played out of position last season, wide right (or right hand side of a diamond) when he doesn’t have the necessary pace. Better suited to midfield or just behind a front two.

Looking at his footage on YouTube, right in a front 3 looks like his position. Most of his goals shown are cutting in on his left peg. He looked out of place when we tried him in centre mid role and does seem to prefer the position he played most games for us. He just needs to stop striking the woodwork and start hitting that net.

Lol never felt better I can be positive if I see things to be positive about with the club like the recent signing. On another thread someone said about a root and branch at Notts Co..... And I joked about our only root and branch is coming through the Kop, and immediately it was jumped on by a few who take some things I say seriously..... I won't lie if see things like what happened in January a big big cock up and those who caused it not taking responsibility seriously then you will get what's seen as negativity from me.... I'm not a sheep I speak my mind.... But I do wum occasionally because I know the usual suspects won't see through it and take the bait.

Naughty I know ;-/
