Been tried didn’t work, OK to cover injuries, suspensions etc. and thats the beauty of Carra.

The RB slot needs someone that can push forward as well as defend if were 433.
Do we take a punt on up and coming knowing the experienced and steady Carra is there or do we try and go for more experience to keep the solidity of the back 4. (Well 5 INO).

I dont think that using Manny, Tharme or the Kennedy replacement is the right option to cover RB. There are plenty out there, old players excluded .

In my formation the RB is a winger !
Just a point on Carrington- perhaps he is playing to instruction when at RB. I have seen him push forward and for sure he can pass and cross better than Roberts.

Does that point to using wing backs then in a 5-3-2 or 3-5-2? Maybe why Hughes has said he wants another centre back to go with the 4 we already have.

I think you have misunderstood he means a rookie move by Hughes ie as a newbie manager

He was lucky to be allowed back in Wrexham after that abomination!

Any sign of an actual proven goalscorer from this level or above coming in this summer or are we putting all our hopes on the kid from the Scottish Evostik league ?

If only we had better crowds and a million pound windfall. We can but wish.....wait a minute.....

Its going to be an interesting signing if he identifies one and doesnt need to use the loan route because he can find anyone. Pike back again!

Why the clamour to get a fast, attacking wing back? In an ideal world ,yes. But at conference level, players that can, for 90 mins, get up and down the pitch that can produce the goods, stay fit, get on with their team mates, willing to relocate are a rarity and priceless. This is non-league so if a player could do this, they would command a fortune (or be playing higher up the leagues).
Let's utilise the players we have, in their best positions and add subtle quality to an already proven top 10 team.
Get out of this league once and for all, then sign worldie players.

But saying that, there are hundreds of players available close season so choosing wisely is a full time job.
