Having watched Hunt play more times than I can remember I don't think he improves us at left back in any way shape or form, in fact I think Jennings is a better player.
Some players seem to get the breaks and play at a decent level which is above them. Look at Shaun Pejic's career. There are countless examples.

That wasn't what I was trying to say. I agree with your points. I was theorising that league clubs tend to just look at league players but should cast their net wider.
Hunt got a break and did well, but I don't think he was ever really league standard IMO

Looked more promising than Evans but didnt really kick on just as Robbie didnt.
These players have to get basics right or LOW calls.
Ball control and passing to start with. Evans had great role models to learn from yet tried to play a game based on harrying the opposition. Jazz hands as I described him.

Leo seemed to try and get on the ball and pass it but maybe lacked the pace to improve much more. Good luck to him.

Sargent and Thorn next up. Hughes was probably as good as they could be so they have a great inspiration. Pace and control over short distances, beat the players in dangerous areas. Timing of runs in the box and the OH so important piece of the jigsaw. Hit the fkin target
