Rather than McIntosh (17 goals in third tier Scotland last season) why not try for Stephen Dobbie - 43 goals in the tier above last season.

Someone once told me Lee Trundle would never be good enough to play at our level. That day he banged a hat trick passed us in a friendly in Rhyl and the rest is history. Just saying !

There are others: Connolly, Morrell, Chris Armstrong . They are out there in the lower leagues , and the right scouts and managers can find them. Not sure that Hughes is that man though.

I hate this part of the summer. You get all excited at rumours about players who end up signing for Barrow and we end up with some no mark who has got a YouTube highlights reel. Reading some of the Airdrie fans view of McIntosh he sounds perfect for us, they say he's shite.
