This is where you need a good negotiator someone to sell the club to the player, like someone said on another thread Creighton,Keates, Wright were sold the club to them by Saunders never off the phone to them and before the boring line comes out by the likes of AA spending our money I mean the showing a player how much he wants him.

Maybe Hughes can do it we shall see.

They will sell to us if the right money is offered though and then we hear that we won't pay over the odds for players which I'm sorry but that's football.

In January we should have gone and bought two key players and in the process destroyed someone else's team for a change, instead of it happening to us.

The only time our season was destroyed? was (in my opinion) the season Saunders left and we sold Curtis and Fowler(who said he wouldn't play for Morrell and left because Fleetwood paid his gambling debts and gave him more money. (Personally would have let him stew in the reserves rather than give the Cods a lift)

You are missing the point. Which clubs are ever willing to sell their better players? Never. If we are waiting for that then we'll be waiting a long time.

Whichever key players I would have gone for is irrelevant. Our recruitment in January was abysmal, that's one thing not up for debate.

Which 2 key players?
Which clubs might sell the players we wanted?

Not trying to be awkward but in my opinion the answer to all the above is - Don't know.

I agree, our January recruitment was poor and probably disruptive and unnecessary.
