Every signing can fail, but better signings have less chance of failing.

By offering poor cash we get lots of punts. Our three strikers are last year's punt, this year's punt and Oswell (where the jury is out). Could two punts equal one good played? Maybe, but we seemingly can't get out of the cycle of collecting loads of waifs and strays and spending the same money anyway.

Ultimately in a footballing sense we're in a bad way; a rookie manager, no assistant, a one day a week coach, a goalie coach who may or may not stay (depending on whether his house sells, apparently), virtually no scouting network and an old school field to train on. Oh yes, we don't have the spending power to sign the mythical 'small, quality squad'.

Why should we expect things to be going well?

To me we feel like a semi-pro club with full-time players.

Willoughby going to Fylde has really put a dent in my confidence for this season, like it's been said, we can't compete with the likes of Fylde and Solihull but it really does make me think what's the point?

At the moment we can’t compete with Chester in terms of recruitment.
It’s going to be a long summer.

Foot golf anyone?

Hopefully some big signings in the pipeline, announced just before season tickets go on sale...
The cynic in me would say the season ticket delay is all planned by the board to coincide with a good news announcement!

I agree entirely

We seem rudderless at the moment

Shows how important it was to have got it right in Jan. Our one chance blown. If our first signing is anything to go by, we are heading nowhere fast.

I'm also feeling a bit despondent. But are people really surprised that bankrolled clubs can outspend us? Remember when Fowler.and then Mangan went to Fleetwood? Wright went to FGR? It's happened ever since we weve been down here.

If I was Pearson I'd be asking some serious questions about who we're bringing in, before deciding if there was any point hanging around.

Please can we just put the club up for sale?

BH has to be given June to recruit. It is still early days yet but signs are either we’re not looking round the local NL scene, BH has better quality targets, or were fkd.

Give me a call BH let’s talk
