Vote for the people that you think bring most to the table, and change may come, but slowly, building on what we have will be a good outcome.

No he didn't actually say but from what he says the board and senior WST members will never let go of their fan owned only ideology. I get your point over voting but what they say is what fans want to hear and no doubt mean it, they will have to be very strong personalities to get their voices heard by the regulars. Re: WST Board elections
The issue with voting is there is no competition.
Its not a him, him or her vote as its basically vote or do without. Do they need a minimum number from 3,500 members or lose their deposit Its an admin process, an admin board with no plans to grow but just survive. |

Re: WST Board elections
No they won’t. Voting is so low that if someone puts a statement out offering something else, all you’ve got to do is win 250-300 votes, against statements and people that are being written off as uninspiring. It’s pretty obvious as to why this doesn’t happen but it’s more prosaic than people think, ie the day to day running is broadly fine, minus an experienced football head, and those who call for more can’t/won’t offer more. Seemingly not even a resolution that the club should be sold.

There are plans to grow, but clearly many aren't satisfied with the emphasis on financial stability. We don't need a clear the swamp episode, we do need to a greater emphasis on the football side, but we need to beware of chucking the baby out with the bath water. Moving in the right direction is the best we can hope for, a giant leap into the unknown is a gamble too far for most I think.
