Like all the other clubs private owners do? How many have done that?

Lots to chew on with these statements. I cast my vote with reasonable confidence for three of the candidates and made a bit of a punt with the other (not interested in revealing who and why right now as it could turn a bit rude and this isn’t the place for sensible debate). It’s always a bit of a turkey shoot as we always have to drill down via statements that are a bit samey and somehow most who stand end up being involved one way or another.

People grumbling about candidates are as tiresome as ever. And what those people need to realise is that the reason you don’t get some fire breathing iconoclast standing is because, gulp, things aren’t going so badly and the dozen or so people on here (or lad bantz types on Facebook fans chat, a place which is even worse than this) who drag every debate down aren’t representative of the fanbase. I don’t like saying “stand if you don’t like it” but there’s no other answer to not being able to scrape four votes together. The same will apply when we see the resolutions and “we call on WST to put the club up for sale” is inevitably not on the ballot. Someone has to grasp the nettle and do it, rather than hoping weight of posts on here somehow causes Spencer Harris to ring all the world’s millionaires one at a time.

JS, voting isnt exactly going to be a representative opinion of board members in the membership as the turnout is likely to be apathetic.
I guess RP users probably make up the majority of those voting so your point is mute really.

The run of the mill either turn up or not match day, are happy or not with the result and repeat.

Its only a small minority both ways that clap and froth on here

The low turnout is representative in its own way; ie no need felt to upset the applecart, either in someone standing to make a change or enforce one via the vote. The loudest voices on here seem to demand a change but the numbers suggest otherwise; so far from my point being *moot* it seems you actually agree with it, albeit in a way that’s on the passive aggressive side.

Just read through them all. Totally uninspired. There is actually not much to vote for is there? Every statement lacks any kind of substance. No offence, I'm sure they are all big fans and want the best etc but we need more than that.

I agree - and that the fact that they aren't allowed to "campaign" as it were makes it all the more difficult and unengaging. No wonder voter numbers are so low.
