Not knowing any of the 7, not much of their history or personality I've voted for those who I think will add something different to the board based on their candidate statement.

I found it difficult on WST website to get a list of current Board Members and which 4 are being replaced, googled it aventually.....
found meet the board https://wst.org.uk/www3/index.php/meet-the-board

Still none the wiser which 4 are being replaced mind you, guessing its peter Jones, Brian Phillips the other two?

Not sure why anyone would be surprised by Pete Jones notes - he is an ardent believer in 100% fan ownership as many of the senior figures are and won't countenance any other model. If anyone thinks its going to change anytime soon it won't. They are politically motivated to stick to the model, defend it and won't change it unless something very dramatic happens.

There are only two ways things will change - club enters admin (not likely) or anyone looking for a change in model, whether that be a structural change under 100% fan ownership, more pragmatic duality approach, minor share block approach or even full majority sale need to get as politically motivated.

The problem at the minute is a lack of a different opinion being politically active, people have to look at themselves when challenged, competition brings improvement and there just isn't any - and posting on a message board doesn't count.

These elections needs some candidates putting other challenging and reasoned arguments forward to spark debate. It may not change anything other than make what is in place up its game which is no bad outcome.

BV as usual quality post.

Fan ownership with no other opinion is the WST stance and again
Rules in the constitution re investment are just lip service.

Not that there are any investors!

Unless you can provide a source then this is pure spin.

Surely adding £250k to the budget to get better quality in is the only choice if we want to get promoted. A new training ground can wait.

I don’t recall this or is this another secret that only the chosen few know about.

Wow, I was on holiday last week so missed that - fantastic news, the finances must be looking incredibly healthy to allow that much to be spent on the training ground in addition to the money needed for player recruitment.

Well done to the WST and WAFC boards, it looks like it's going to be an exciting time to be a Wrexham supporter!

Are we?

Council are set to offer 150 year lease on Groves, as they want a school in the 9 Acre.

Will a club house, pitch and a car park cost best part of a million quid?
