I don't know as I haven't been a member for years.

If its not and you can join without an email address, then this still isn't reaching the required audience.

I don't know TBH.

I'd say that in this day and age it is pretty necessary to have an email address.

It would cost the club money to be sending out paper forms and letters. If I want things like phone bills by post these days I have to pay extra for them, and it's not environmentally friendly. Not a good use of our resources but that's just my opinion.

I must be one of the elite! Got mine at 7:56 this morning. Maybe they are sending them out in tranches.

Oh I agree it is pretty necessary to have an email address but for one, there are still quite a lot of the, ahem, older generation that don't. Also, you can have an email address but if it isn't a requirement of joining then you can choose not to give it over (Yes, you miss out on news etc and things like this but if its optional then some may prefer not to give it out and receive 'spam')

I don't know what the membership forms look like but it might be an idea to have a "How do you wish to be contacted" section on there if there isn't one.

That way, you can set up and add to an email list, and also you have a list of those you need to post details to. That way you keep postage costs to a minimum.

I don't get any emails from the club/WST either.

It's a recurring problem that Rich Ulrich rectified on more than 1 occasion for me, the last being shortly before he resigned. It does not seem to have lasted very long.

Seems we have a problem there..
