Re: Fondop???
Hughes said himself in the Leader that he wasn’t fit and wanted him to train with the youth rather than travel. I’m not speculating, this is taken from an interview.
“He trained with us on Friday but I chose not to bring him, just to make sure that he gets himself right and gets his fitness levels up, and then he will come into contention." “Mike hasn't come back in the same fitness levels as some of the others," said Hughes. "It was important to get a week back on the training ground. He trained with Matty and Jack, joined in sessions with the youth team.” Last edited by BP Red; 15th July 2019 at 22.38:08.. |

Re: Fondop???
Unlike almost everyone else he hasn't had much time at professional full time clubs. So hopefully he takes this as an important lesson, all the others have come back from their break in good shape.
I like that BH will take that sort of step with a player not meeting his standards of fitness. Posted via mobile theme |

Re: Fondop???
To turn up unfit for Wrexham, given he is drinking in last chance saloon as it is, is beyond stupid. Having a degree has absolutely nothing to do with being stupid at life.
I have been a big fan of Fondop in the past but he doesn't help himself. You listen to the "getting to know" interviews with the players on Youtube as well. They seem to continually list him down as someone that is late for training and getting fines. If/When he leaves, based on all this I think he should be having a good look at himself in the mirror. |

Re: Fondop???
When I spoke to some of his mates at Braintree last season they said he could be quite temperamental and appeared to have a history of disagreeing with coaches and teammates. When I saw him last August at Maidenhead and Eastleigh I thought he would have a good season but sadly the wheels fell off the wagon after he was hooked at Braintree when the opposition players were winding him up after he had already been booked. I agree with Moyn - time to move on.
