Difficult for managers to make promises, everyone will need to be treated equally and compete for places. It would be fair to guess his chances of starting more games at Wxm next season will be greater than staying with Salford.

I don't think we outbid them, but it does show that that making players feel wanted and being able to guarantee them can be a worthwhile bargaining chip on some occasions.

Why cant people ever give us any credit? If Lainton had gone elsewhere I'm sure everyone would be moaning we'd been outbid and wouldn't be suggesting all these alternative if the boot was on the other foot
