I'm happy at this. He was one of our better players before he picked up the injury - hopefully, with him being assessed and judged to be fit enough, he can be good for us next season.

There's some healthy competition in our midfield now. I think if we sign a Walker-type holding midfielder we'd be good.

If he’s fully fit then fine but he was more liability than asset if you look at last season as a whole.

Smacks of not being able to recruit anyone better.

It’d be ideal if we could somehow get rid of Wright.

I know my views on Wright don’t align with many on here but I’d say he’s strong back up and no need to get rid given he won’t be on a huge wage.

Be interesting to see how that lines up. Young in the walker role? Redmond in the Wright role, and summerfield?

If you were going for that 3, you'd probably have to line up like that. Not sure I'd be convinced by it - I think you'd get away with two of them in a midfield three*, but we really need someone closer to what Walker was to be the third.

*although I really don't know much about Redmond at all

I think our midfield looked better with Summerfield OR Young, not both. Still think we’re missing the Walker replacement (assuming we’re going with the same system).
