The original 16 seat 2 tier plan for platform 2 in that corner had a roof that did not fully cover it and was open on both sides, so in our opinion did not even protect users from the elements.
At this stage we are not convinced the scaled back 6 seat single platform does either.
We are also not convinced that it is actually wide enough for 6 users. The club plan to put carers behind in order to facilitate this.
The Access For All guide does not allow for us. And when we tried to persuade otherwise on platform 1 we were shot down. We were even threatened with the STADIUM losing its safety licence over it.
We have sympathy with the club as they come up with problems that we know only too well. It's unfortunate that we have not been asked for input as we could have given them the benefit of our experience beforehand.
The focus group only met once in September and there are no plans to meet again at this time, despite repeated requests.

Just another example of a rogue board.

I've seen a copy of the original sketches. The Platform is shown around 1metre off the floor. it looked ridiculous.
The answer would be to create platforms at a higher level but this would require a lift and options for evacuation if the lift failed. Obviously the platform in the MRS meets the requirements so it shouldn't be too hard to replicate.
A full explanation is, I believe. required.

Bit of a daft statement without knowing the facts.

I understand that there are problems satisfying all parties involved.

Personally I can see why the club preferred the idea of not reducing the capacity if it is possible to add a second platform without doing so, which was the argument put forward last year. But without knowing the ins and outs, it is very disappointing that there hasn’t been much more progress so far.

Have you talked to Phil Salmon about this wafc1926? From all I’ve seen he is very approachable, and has board responsibilities for the ground I believe. Might be worth doing so in the first instance to find out what is going on.
Phil is approachable and does a good job trying to improve facilities and see to maintenance issues.
The board need to address this issue at the earliest opportunity/ immediately before we get into the new season and they are able to use the old excuse of not being able to do the work because of the football.

Rogue in January against the WST board and now rogue against what the fans voted for.
They have of course communicated all of these problems & facts to the fans so I can now be pointed to their communication regarding this? Look forward to reading what they have to say.

It is. They didn't want to do it, were basically told by the fans we want you to do it, it was voted for and yet they still haven't done it. Rogue.

I'm looking forward to someone pointing me towards their transparent updates which they have been providing fans...
