Probably Darlington teaching on courses how to zonal mark and play hoof ball percentages.

So the £850k project at the Groves is for the first team only then?
Why are we subsidising the FAW who have taken our training ground when we will have our own facility lying unused of an evening?

This is only a three year deal so perhaps that’s what is in mind for the future. I’d imagine it would be expensive to install floodlights etc. at the Groves though, and hopefully we are not being charged a huge amount by the FAW to use it during the times they don’t need it.

IMHO, I'm happy that our academy now have a permanent base but would also be interested in the cost to WAFC ( hopefully it's only based on a small contribution towards running costs)
It's a moral issue.See Colliers park thread.

Was reported to have been said at a supporters group meeting. Think the club have since confirmed?

I think this is all positive. Having such an amazing facility for the youth with Flynn involved is amazing!

The same way we sometimes borrow airbus 3g surface I can see the first team adhoc on here.

It looks an amazing place and those being negative about it are negative about everything and need to give their heads a wobble

I really don't understand the point of the Groves project or any advantage of training at the new Colliers facility. These are professional players so get on with it at 9 acre and drive (or run) back to the ground for a shower afterwards.

This is the National League and many of the away pitches we play on in the winter months are no better. Any money spent on the Groves project should be spent on the team in my opinion. An effective management and coaching staff will surely be able to produce an effective team at 9 acre.
