As a general principal then they say dont go back but I would assume there are situations when this doesnt apply.
Howe going back to Bournemouth for instance.

Some people thrive in the culture or workplace and can go back.
Having been successful once is kind of the dont go back theory as its often not going to be the same again.

They have been employed, they have a job to do so they get on with it.
Has their time away made them better?

How many times has Fergie been at Peterborough or Askey been at Macc.
Agree it doesn't always work but closer to home we've got Joey in his third spell here.
Their time away may make them appreciate what they had.

Let us all hope not. I admit I was not impressed by the terms of the appointment of BH but he is there to hopefully take us forward and upwards. We all need to support him to the same degree we support our club. Am impressed with his influence so far. Give the bloke a chance!

Very true, grass isn't greener on the other side as probably a fair few people on here have had happen to them.

Think a lot of us on here could see, Keates left a fairly safe job for at least a couple of seasons, to one, where he would have to hit the ground running..And that, at a club very limited, and struggling to not get relegated....Grass greener..or poor decision, take your pick...
Those that followed him, took that same risk.Being involved with a failure can be the end of many a career, having an opportunkty to return to the club you turned your back on, is rare.....

Let's hope they put it to good use..

Keates might keep us up if we are in a relegation battle but for me he wouldn't get us promotion. Too negative. I wouldn't have him back.
