He was so disappointing because he should have been magnitudes better than he was.

If he can come in this season as the player Fleetwood fans were saying he was then it's like a new signing and will be a huge benefit to the team as a while.

Time will tell! Going to reserve judgement on that one.

Looking back on his highlights at Fleetwood I've remembered why we were actually chuffed to sign him in the first place.

I thought he was a bit of a flop last season, so I can only hope he's got the determination and attitude to get back to his best.

It’s difficult for supporters to accept that players aren’t bang up for it every game.

Agreed; when you look at this compilation you cannot believe how poor he was at times last season. I’m actually glad he’s exercised his contract extension and can use last seasons lows to springboard himself back to the player he should be - if he plays like he did at Fleetwood then he could be the best player in our league.

I don't think it's hollow words why would he say it if he wasn't serious?

To many think of players as robots with no personal life and sometimes the problems that go with it, a lot can depend on the strength of that character to overcome problems of sorts, in this case we all know Barton has history of not being a very nice guy.

I'm sticking with my prediction on here on a couple of occasions of I think we will see a different better player next season, he looked to be carrying a bit of timber last season and short of pace

If he has a good pre-season gets himself really fit I think he will surprise a few on here, you can see he has a football brain unfortunately last season a few around him hadn't...

I'm actually starting to feel the most positive about our team since the Saunders side which missed out to Fleetwood, a couple more important signings RB defensive midfielder and possibly another Centre half for cover, although we have the loan market if needed as I think Tharme deserves a run in the side. And maybe we are good to go, BH has the friendlies to see where we could be short... With the forecasted 42-48c for Europe Spain Portugal France the trips to Portugal mightily be tough on them players.

With having to play in the Wafer cup it's a chance for players not in the squad to keep matchfit and fight for a place competition is good.

PS We maybe singing Bobby Grant's Viva Bobby Joe next season 🙂

If they all played like their you tube clips we'd be top with crowds of 9 or 10,000 every home game .
