There's clearly a player there. Let's just hope we see it. Could end up being crucial

The guy does have ability and is making all the right noises, now it’s over to him.

Sure he’s on a decent wage here, but if he does do well, then no reason a league 1 or league 2 team wouldn’t come calling in January or next summer. For that to happen he needs to perform for us, so win win.

Good luck to the lad.

Grant, plus every player we have, always starts the season with a fresh slate IMO.

I haven't see the ability others are talking about whilst he has worn our shirt in the 5 months he was playing last term. if he hadn't "that" clause in his contract I am sure he would have gone but as he enters the new season like every other player regardless of their past history they will be judged on personal performances...
He will have to apply himself to win over some fans.... over to you BG

Grant's difference with Barton was over "team selection issues", i.e. Grant objected to Barton choosing younger players over him.

He obviously couldn't get his way over Barton. Let's see how Hughes gets on with him.

Agreed. I haven't seen anything at all from him. I've seen an lethargic, slow, lazy lump without a first touch. Over to you Robert.

In reality giving Grant a clause of being able to extend own contract is up there with paying a fee for him and appointing Barrow/Newell as the management team on the cock up richter scale.Sorry to be negative but is so true and the Grant scenario is unfairly for Yosser reducing his flexibility for next season.

I think he will come good this season . He has definitely got ability , strikes the ball cleanly and fiercely at times . I agree that he looked slightly overweight but hopefully a good pre season training combined with the old Sports scientist returning from Walsall but get the best out of him .

It wouldn’t surprise me if he gets 15 goals

After talking to Bobby Grant in March you only have to spend 5 minutes with him to realise he will not hold back if he is not happy. If we are playing more attacking then we might see the best of Grant,if it is like last season Bobbys mouth will probably get him into trouble and he could be transfer listed by october.Time will tell.
