I do think Barrow was an awful manager and I’m glad he isn’t our concern now. I defended Newell at the time but he turned out to be awful. With those points in the bag we would have been pretty difficult to shake off the top. But we didn’t get them and the rest is history.

Yes i seem to remember you criticising me for saying Newell looked spaced out on the pitch pre kick off.

I hold no grudge against Barrow, even if he is averse to blowing up footballs. He got the job because the board couldn't be arsed with a proper recruitment process, or even looking around a bit.

Spot on and the reason I am finding it hard to forgive those in charge at the time. Barrow was useless and it should have been obvious when he was sppointed but onwards and upwards with Hughes .

They have EFL money, higher sponsorship due to the league they're in, bigger money for league finishes etc. Like it or lump it, they're a somewhat established League 1 club and the income will be night and day to the National League.
