Re: Kop land bought by Welsh Gov?
Having read about the planning applications, of any are passed whithout sufficiant parking provision for accommodation it's going to be a right bloody mess.
Who do the council think the vehicles parked along Crispin lane belong to? Also not any mention about public transport provision, most universities that have undergone major rework have ensured buses enter onto the site in order to ease congestion and make it easier for all students and staff. |

Re: Kop land bought by Welsh Gov?
Cllr Marc Jones mentioned yet again how the previous developer failed to meet his obligations. Michael Morris, Chairman of planning, agreed that there had been a failing of the department over the case -woops- who was chair of that meeting back the day? non other than said Michael Morris !
Cllr Marc Jones also asked whether the previous developer ( of the flats ) could be charged for the work that they did not comply with. as roads pavement's etc. Cllr Michael Morris ,taken aback by that thought said it might be a matter between the two parties ie Glyndwr and the Village re owners. During this afternoons long meeting there where many sensible observations particularly about added congestion and parking issues around the Glyndwr site. One member . Cllr Pemberton was very keen to vote the package through without considering the congestion issues. In Councillor Marc Jones the town has a worthy advocate, what a shame he wasn't in post when the initial application was made - and what a shame others were not as searching with their questions and observations. Re: Kop land bought by Welsh Gov?
I hope not. What is the benefit of more student accommodation to the residents
of Wrexham 400 more flats, none contributing council tax, increase in demand for our local nhs plus many more. The only beneficiaries are Glyndwr and local drinking establishments.Come on everyone this university is a joke and always has been. |
