Re: Druids Reaction (0-4 pre season win)
Game of two halves with different teams for each 45 min period.
More first teamers and stronger players in the first half. A number of senior players were not included and watched the game with the spectators, namely Lainton, Lawlor, Oswell and Summerfield - Fondop was there in casual attire by himself - supposedly just returned from Cameroon. Looked lively up front and scored some nice worked goals - stand outs for me were Hopper & Redmond - together with the trialist right back Barnum - Bobb (Chelmsford City). Beaumont partnered Pearson in the centre of defence and didn't impress me at all. Second half saw a complete change with Mcintosh & Dagnall playing up front - game was like a training match with lots of possession and passing but little end result - Dagnall missed a one on one against their keeper. Akil Wright headed in a 4th goal from a cross / corner from the right flank - and that was it. Trialist keeper for us ? looked tidy in what he did but similar to Tharme who marshalled the defence had very little to do. Attendance I think was announced as 1,222 which is about 600 less than when we played there on a Friday night 2 seasons ago. |

Re: Druids Reaction (0-4 pre season win)
Just read these reports.. To be honest I didn't even know we were playing today, not that I would of gone as I stopped going to friendlies way back..
But reading the negative comments on some although in the Main Hooper and Redmond sound positive along with some trialling... All I'm saying blimey don't judge player's on basically a training kickabout leave it until at least a dozen games of the actual season when it gets competitive. Posted via mobile theme |

My wife's nephew was 3 today so missed the game. I must admit I have a slight semi reading the report.

Also, you don’t really get 12 games to make a judgement of a triallist. |

Re: Druids Reaction
I must admit I've been thinking this myself.
