True and we all know via Fowler and the others they tried to unsettle (Maxwell & Obeng) in the 98 point season about the ruthlessness of Fleetwood. Personally not kind of club we should be playing as the memories are still there.

Any young player who has the attributes that you described should be snapped up, I haven’t seen him play but if he’s as good as some are saying and 17 he’s worth the risk but that said you didn’t say he worked had so expect the board to sell him in January after bagging 10 goals.

Its all about a strategy and framework for the manager.
I agree though and we should be looking at 1 player each season thats up and coming potential. It also gives out a positive message that we look to bring through a player and he has a chance to progress. The manager decides who obviously but the board set the expectation and the target to him.
I would also look to get 1 better player from another NL team as an expectation as well. Likewise a COE if possible, hopefully 1 of Tharme, Sargent or Thorn kick on this year and we save ourselves having to loan shte.

Selling players should be part of our strategy, its going to happen, we need the money. What we should have is the conveyor belt so if we do unearth players that impress and move on then another comes along.
In reality its not easy or going to be successful all the time but at least its a structure and should in theory get better as you look for better players.
If a manager has a good eye for players then it should work better anyway.

Lets face it could it be worse than Stockton, unfit and overweight and hardly used. Spyrou, Hinds and the like.

It's probably Flynn that got him here on trial. He'll know more about young Welsh players than most.

Agree. I would add that seeing players get sold on and up the pyramid makes the club potentially more attractive for ambitious and talented local players who might want to join us.
Getting back into the EFL would also enhance the chances for future prospects.

This strategy of bringing young players in and developing them is especially important in our ownership model. Not everyone likes the fans-owned model but at least when we do sell a young player these days the money goes back into the club. Even if it isn't always spent wisely its better than going into Moss's pocket.

Anyone know if this kid is still with us? I have a very good feeling about this one.

We need to move on from this. Fleetwood may have been ruthless but sometimes you just have to be. We have appeared to be soft touches too many times over the last few seasons.

Besides, they went up on merit. We can argue that they were bankrolled but these teams still need to beat the others on the pitch where it counts. They did, helped in no small part by one Jamie Vardy. If they didn't have him in his squad that season, I have no doubt we would have been a league club the season after.

Unfortunately those are the breaks.

Back on topic, I am liking everything I read or hear about this kid. We should look at signing him up as it could be a good sell on in the future.
Get the promising talent in before they are snapped up by others...
