Nothing wrong with pushing for public funding on it at all imo. Lucas and Phillips have been happy to pose for photos and throw out sound bites over the years with sod all end result on matters to do with the club. If Plaid can help turn the screw on this then more power to them.
If pressure is needed for funding then wouldn’t this be better through the main project?

If WAG are 1 of the 4 main parties then do we really have to lobby them?
They must be expecting a level of investment already if they have been talking.

Individual petitions may just look like the numbers are diluted. A few hundred here and there isn’t as powerful. It might be the same people signing the same petitions which isn’t a bigger number.

Rather sign a project related one.
Stronger together as they say

Politicising this is counter productive.
If the petition had been started by the fans I believe that we could have far more signatories and greater effect.

Fans were writting to AM's, MP' and councillors amid the apparent McDonald's interest in the land behing the Kop. Unsurprisingly, the WST once again sat on their hands, they've a bad habit of doing so.

Let's also not forget it was Plaid Cymru who were very vocal on getting a national football museum in Wrexham, unfortunately this is going to be at the museum rather than part of a proposed Kop redevelopment as they wanted.

Labour are running scared in Wrexham, their majority has dwindled to the point they could be toppled in the next elections.

So, it's time for people to grow up and do things with the best interests of the town in mind, no matter your political beliefs , Labour have shown for years they couldnt care less. Only now because they could lose a couple of key seats.

It's time to send them a message, until that's done Wrexham will see none of the money the south enjoy.

A signature for every seat in the stand would send a huge message to Colgate Ken and chums, they've promised this or that for years and still haven't delivered anything. Not even a guarantee on funding!

Exactly. 1 port of call would be far better with all the signatures.
Ideally done through the project and presented as part if it.
It would add credibility and show the real numbers.

Although if WAG are one of the parties they must be expecting to invest anyway.
This is the bit that surprises and worries me.

I struggle to see what's contentious about petition whatever coloured political ribbon is tied to it. If you support the sentiment then sign it regardless of whether you're Plaid, Labour, Tory or whatever. Our captain Shaun Pearson has apparently!

It’s not contentious it’s how many of these will do the rounds.
Sign a PC one a Welsh national one a labour one a Tory one........

My preference is it all joined up and I just sign once (yes I am a lazy f....r).
Each to his own and if there are 50 petitions then fine but for me I would prefer it being done as part of the project and presented that way to support it.

Correct, let's not derail this thread by over debating the politics or being negative.
