He's got a visa to work in the UK. He's travelling to another EU country. What could the visa issue be? He went last year too Either an admin balls up or porkies

Thank you for your feedback on the game. Was listening and sounded positive.

Superb ball into the box & for some reason the defence stopped as 1 which allowed their player to ghost in & prod the ball home. Grant looks 10 times the player we saw last season & was desperately unlucky not to score. Barton was neat & tidy, can't remember him giving the ball away. Redmond looked good & JJ had their defence looking shaky along with Harris when they came on. We played some lovely football at times. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Surely their age isn’t the real reason?

Good report
BH says Fondop, Thorn, Sargent and 1 more I think Manny did not travel - no reasons given.
If Grant looks that good then we might have a secret gem.

It would seem that we might be trying 532 and pushing the FBs forward.
That gives 3 forward thinking midfielders if Pearson, Lawlor, Barton are the 3.

Was Grant in the front 2 or midfield 3?

Oswell, Rutherford and Grant up front to start and no goals.
How much of a surprise is this? Unbelievable.

What about JJ, Harris and McIntosh or a combination of the 6 as we know last seasons 3 doesn’t work as a front 3. Little creativity between them. Hope it’s not a sign of what will be.

Oswell coming back after injury and grant 'desperately unlucky' - give them a little time please.

But we know it doesn't work and we need to hit the ground running and not wait for something that may not happen.

For me JJ has to be main choice, Oswell as backup/sub. Harris as the wide option with again Rutherford as back up.

If Grant impresses then fair enough but he has to get rid of this 'unlucky' tag. Its not unlucky if he keeps doing it
McIntosh could then backup Grant.

Its pre-season. He's going to try different combinations and give different players run outs at different times.
