Superb ball into the box & for some reason the defence stopped as 1 which allowed their player to ghost in & prod the ball home. Grant looks 10 times the player we saw last season & was desperately unlucky not to score. Barton was neat & tidy, can't remember him giving the ball away. Redmond looked good & JJ had their defence looking shaky along with Harris when they came on. We played some lovely football at times. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
Thanks Wilbob.

BH seems to have lots of options for the important League campaign.

Hopefully, he’ll sign a dedicated RB soon, and possibly another winger.

I am sure Chelsea U-23s are no mugs, and we seem to have bettered them.

Perhaps the worry was that they would be let loose on the Albufeira Strip. With Fondop everything points to him going somewhere else either by transfer or on long term loan

Glad to hear good things regarding Grant , he could be like a new signing.

Great to have Oswell and Lawlor back in action too.

Hopefully we sort out a new RB, CB and forward in the next couple of weeks.

What’s gone on there? Hughes changed his mind about him? Injured? Couldn’t agree terms? Hopefully somebody will ask during the interviews with him.
May be he didn't have a passport?

Why has Oswell been out injured, has he had this operation they he supposedly needed?

Halifax are still desperate for players. With a previous loan deal at Halifax, I wonder if the shay may be a potential destination for him. I would expect a loan as opposed to a transfer though.

If Thorn and Sargent are under 18 there could be both a safeguarding requirement and a requirement for those responsible to have DBS Clearance. Simply because of their age they are classified as children which comes with a myriad of regulations necessary to protect the individuals and those responsible for them.

Oswell has had a hernia operation. Lainton still carrying an injury and to be fair dibble did well, the young polish keeper had little to do when he came on. Grant played well. We played some lovely football at times with no hoof ball. The team changed formations through out the game. They all worked hard Ruthers put some lovely crosses in the box and played well down the right.... a good work out we won’t come up against many teams at our level who will play as well as last nights opposition.... we had two nailed on penalty shouts in the last five minutes same move, cross was hand balled the ball fell kindly to Macintosh who was taken out. The ref bottled it

The DBS wouldn't be an issue as the coaches would all have to be DBS checked to coach u18's anyway. You don't have to have a higher level DBS to take them abroad..
