Why does it?

You go to so many grounds in built up, residential areas (Stockport for example) and you can’t park near the ground.

Parking is your own responsibility and not a defined right to get a space under the floodlights unless you’re disabled.

I have a train station in my village but I seldom use it to watch Wrexham unless I’m having a few beers. Therefore, I have to make provisions to walk to the ground from where I park my car.

Appreciate that AA but knowing that parking is limited now and they are looking to host international games with a new capacity of 15,000+ then I assumed parking might be considered in a regeneration plan.
Even more so if the plan includes improving the train station as a transport hub and passengers need to park.

Just a thought

Over many years through the Local Plan consultation suggestions have been made to allocate rail land off Crispin Lane for parking - use of eg : - day students / staff - football users- fringe of town parking - rail users. etc

I did a calculation once to support the proposal and you would be amazed how many spaces that could be created on what was Railtrack land alongside the line of the Dyke.

Unfortunately 'consultations' today usually mean this is what we are going to do and here is the plan ok! In my day consultation used to take on board views and by process hopefully take them into account.

A multistory on the current all weather pitch would be a money spinner and game changer for the area. They'd have to improve the junction with Mold Road though.
