Re: New technical area
What happened to the bucket seats donated from Wolverhampton Wanderers for this project?

Re: New technical area
One step closer to having competitive international football back at the racecourse
|
Re: New technical area
I'll be able to see the right hand side corner flag without having to stand up! I bet more people will sit in the Yale stand now!

Haha was thinking exactly the same! |
Re: New technical area
The top left hand seat will be reserved for Flynnie!
Let's be fair to everyone involved, that looks pretty decent. |
Re: New technical area
Looks really good international standard only one thing missing 4th official seat

Just give him a bomb shelter. |

Technical area cam could be amusing |
Re: New technical area
I don't really understand.
Have the dugouts been removed and the bit of stand that was hereto known as 'behind the dugouts' will now serve as the dugouts? Posted via mobile theme |

Hope we issue ponchos out lol. |

My thoughts exactly. On the face of it 'new replaces old' always sounds as though it's going to be a better option. First impressions - not in this case. Far too close together - will lead to potential conflict between home and away. Dug outs have gone - so no protections from both elements and adjacent spectator seating - again more potential conflict. |
Re: New technical area
The fencing at the back needs to be blacked out
|
Re: New technical area
No room for the St Johns ambulance as well.

Agreed especially after the incident with the paddock racists a while back. Surely better to have the home dugout that side? |

It was mentioned a few times on here when that incident happened at the Dover game. I totally agree that the home end should be by the paddock, but who am I to say lol |
Re: New technical area
So the subs get soaked now?

The reason why it's the side it is, is because its seen as an advantage to get in the linesmans ear. In the football world it's a massive school boy error to put them the other way round. It was on some documentary a few years back. The argument could be that yozza doesn't get at the officials, but imagine giving up that side to someone like Steve Evans who would totally take that advantage and be laughing at us for doing so! Posted via mobile theme
Lol people get soaked in the paddock. If the rain dropped completely vertical then they will be fine lol |
Re: New technical area
I suppose there is scope to fit a roof if it need be.
|
Re: New technical area
Home side should have been next to the paddock.
Can only see problems between home fans and away subs/staff |
Home side should have been next to the paddock.

Shouldn't it be designed once and constructed once ? That way it wont cost anymore - drawings / planning / building control / construction - maybe more. I have not seen anything to suggest the new facility will be roofed in the position it is in now - problem with a low small roofing system is it might well hinder the view of the pitch for spectators behind the 'area'. I suppose everything is possible with money but lack of shelter from both the elements and the adjacent spectators looks to be a backward step especially when the rain is lashing across the pitch in the middle of winter - unless of course there is substantial more construction to come - but some how I doubt it. |
Re: New technical area
It wont last long unless they're planning some sort of roof.

The old dugouts were right next to each other. Premier league teams are right next to each other as well. Look at Leicester City etc. The bit in the middle is wider than you can see on the picture I’ve seen it in person. |

Haven’t had st.Johns at games for over a year now. Not sure where clubs medical team and equipment will now go now though?? |

Four pages about the technical area - what a forum!

If the club tweeted a picture of the corner flags people would say the pole was too long or short or the flag was the wrong shape or shade. Posted via mobile theme |

Are they not located in the Medical room under the Hays Travel / Mold Road stand (Mold end) ? usually a St John's Ambulance on Mold Road aswell on match days. The provision of a doctor and medical support (ST John's or alternative) will be a condition of the stadium safety certificate at times when spectators are admitted and the crowd is anticipated to be above a certain level - so I would think we will have some cover although it seems unclear where it is all located and to what extent. |
Re: New technical area
Always moaning. Shock!
|
Re: New technical area
When it gets windy in the paddock and its raining, I get soaked. I can only imagine that those sat in the new area will do so too!!
|
Re: New technical area
Yozzer and Keates have both stood on the edge of the technical area so no change for them!
|
Re: New technical area
Most managers don't spend any time in old style dugouts these days anyway, rain or not. They have had their day and don't meet the requirements of modern football. This looks like a much better solution.
