Wouldn’t bother me so much if he was an enforcer type midfielder, but he’s the most timid player I’ve seen.

Keates and Harris had 10 times the bite and aggression and they were dwarves.

Little men usually are more aggressive hence the term little man syndrome.

Is Harris still available he is a terrier in midfield.

Hate to change the subject slightly, but what was peoples opinion of Barton last night?

First time I have seen him and frankly I wasn't that impressed. Looked slow and cumbersome and some of his distribution was woeful. Definitely at fault for their first goal. Hope it was "first game at home nerves", but he needs to up his game a bit.

Other than that I thought there were some positive signs. Grant looks a new man, and you can tell Hooper will be a handful this season. Also liked the lad from Cardiff, got a bit of pace and can put in a good cross.

Seen enough now to say we look an improvement on last season and should do well.

Shall we try him in goal and up front too?
On the contrary, I don't rate him in midfield so I happy to see him play anywhere other than the most focal position on the pitch.

I cant see it, but you never know. Nat Knight Percival was the weirdest. He was a winger that made a good career out of Saunders chucking him in at centre back.

I am very confident about this season, I think we have made the right signings to fit into a team that was not far from being good enough for promotion, but that is not in a 343 formation!

There is no outstanding team for me this year, I believe it will be between us, Chesterfield, Fylde and Solihull. Hoping BH keeps it simple and plays the system that the players know and understand. We can be 5 points better than last year this way.

Why though? I would be far from happy seeing BH trying to find a position for him and whilst doing so it would more than likely be of detriment to the team. Why on earth would you do that?
BH job is to put the best team he can out, so that's him out. Personally I've seen enough.
For me its sentimental nonsense just because he's a Wrexham player. He isn't good enough in midfield and lacks many of the basics so that's that.

NKP is the exception to the rule, I'm struggling to think of any other fairly recent examples like his.

Don't think so. I'd have him back here, would add a bit of backbone in midfield that's severely lacking.
