Dibble is nowhere near as good as Lainton.

I’ve been happy with the signings , I just have 2 worries .

1- Is Barton the leader we needed in midfield ? Somebody like Storer would’ve been ideal.

2- Are Harris and Mcintosh going to chip in with goals and show consistency? I have no doubts about Hooper.

I admit on paper her does look to have recruited well (how much is down to Flynn? He is was a scout for Norwich. Swansea so he would of seen these players)

I hope your optimism is proved correct of course.

Belgium play with 3-4-3. Chelsea have used it and so have City on numerous occasions.

It’s quite popular in Germany too. The main difference though is that all these teams have two very good wingbacks whereas we don’t even know if we’ve got one who can do that role yet.

It just seems so contrived, with Barton at centre back and with the wing-backs, compared to a 4-3-3 which all the players will be used to.

Barton has good technique, but I worry that he is too lackadaisical for central defence.

Barton and Leighton at the gym last two days not full training must be doubtful starters for Saturday.

The third I'll give you but for the others, what game were you watching? The first goal was a header from point-blank range, the second he saved from Afobe but Vokes put it in on the rebound

Definitely this for me other than Dibble in for Lainton. Could toss a coin between Young and Summerfield too.

Dibble is not good enough, granted he’s made a couple of good pen saves but on a whole his decision making is poor and is very Coughlin like.
