Re: Michael Chambers signs
Good player from the Fleetwood game.
Seems like there was plenty of interest in him too. Left footed centre half which will fit well in the back 3. |
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Interesting that he says he decided to join 'after being here and seeing the town'. I take it Dulwich is a bit of a hole?
|
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Good solid signing
|
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Looking good.

Re: Michael Chambers signs
Dulwich Hamlet fans rate him. According to another poster in the rumours thread, there was interest from Leyton Orient and he was on trial there too.
Glad to see him here though, a left sided centre back is just what we needed. |
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Seems like another good one. Gives the option of 3 at the back but I hope to god we don’t play it.

Surprised by this one as I thought it was dead in the water. Posted on 24th July 2019 - George Sessions ‘More on Michael Chambers too. I thought he did well last night’ https://www.eastlondonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/football/leyton-orient/ross-embleton-leyton-orient-happe-chambers-latest-1-6178621 |
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Squad is starting to look very strong and versatile - especially if we intend to play with 3 across the back with wing backs.
Chambers to the left - Pearson in the middle - Lawlor to the right. Jennings and Barnum Bobb on the flanks. That would leave just 6 places to fill for midfield / up front - but who to play ? |

You need to get out more , nothing wrong with Wrexham ! |

Nailed on we are playing 3 at the back with this signing. From the highlights, this lad looked very assured and has a good left peg on him. Very happy with this addition. |

Listen to what our new signing has to say...

Re: Michael Chambers signs
From the little I saw of him versus Fleetwood he looked decent. Very comfortable on the ball. Defence is looking decent.

It's quite near Peckham and Brixton isn't it? Proper south London. Maybe he has a hankering for some Welsh hills. Shows that some players aren't afraid to travel north! I'm glad he's signed, I was hoping he would after reading about him, I wonder if we'll see the back three trialed again against Crewe? Would allow Barton to play as a Midfielder. Yes the town center is poor but thats only a small part of Wrexham which in my book is one of the best places to live providing you accept it for what it is ! |

Just a small joke about my hometown. I've lived here all my life and don't intend on moving. I hear Chambers just spent a year in Beirut anyway. Posted via mobile theme |
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Interesting thing for me with these signings is where we’ve signed them from.
Seem to be looking far and wide which shows the scouting network, the contacts and the pull of the club. |

It's good to see him arriving from Dulwich, I heard they dropped an atomic bomb on Dulwich. About 15 quid's worth of damage. |

I can honestly say, I've never come over a little queer. |
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Looks the business. If we can get that one decent experienced midfielder then id say we are in with a very good chance.
|
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Welcome aboard Michael. Another good piece of the jigsaw added.

Re: Michael Chambers signs
Got a very good feeling about this one.

Re: Michael Chambers signs
Reminds me of when Curtis Tilt joined us.

We played three at the back in our last promotion season. Oh, with Redmond's dad in the team too. |

In what way? Looks to me he’s had trials elsewhere, not impressed and then come back to us as a last resort.... |

Colonel D wore the same flannel shirt when Tilt signed as he did today. |
Re: Michael Chambers signs
Just need a decent left wing back now, Jennings is not one. Hope Jazzy can do the business on the right flank otherwise our wing backs will not be upto standard if we want to play 3 at the back.
Also gotta feel sorry for Tharmey lad, what does he have to do to get a game? Unless does very well at Telford he may end up like Leo Smith. |
