I think we've improved the team and at the minimum have better options up front. I therefore would be surprised to see us finish lower than last season.

I agree with you both. I'll be hugely surprised if Hughes gets us into the promised land that is league football. And what exactly does Brian Flynn do? That's another story I guess.

12th seems like a WUM response to me. We finished 4th last season and retained everybody we wanted and arguably added quality. 12th would be quite the regression!?

To put it in a nutshell, I think I'm just bored. Bored of the merry-go-round of crap managers, bored of players who either don't care or who aren't up to the job. Bored of the sub-standard football on show. And bored of the clowns who run the club. I can handle a few seasons of playing the likes of Ebbsfleet - wherever that is. But it's gone beyond a joke now. It used to be fun, the football half-decent. Not anymore. Time to switch off the (flood) lights, eh?

And when you hear what I heard last Thursday it makes it even worse. I can't go into detail because it could hinder future events, so I apologise for bringing it up. A wealthy individual who wants to put money (a lot of money), who is able to and is prepared to lose his own money was allegedly told we aren't interested.
