Open day. Observations.

Reasonable turnout but the whole thing could have been far better organised to ensure that fans, especially the younger ones had a better experience.

There were no announcements or commentary over the session which was in itself puzzling until I found that the Mike had been mislaid / stolen / Hidden.

The only catering facility open was in the Centenary club but no one told the fans.
If the Yale catering booth had been open it would have benefitted the fans and the club with sales of snacks and drinks.

The "Event " was organised by the trust, not the club. It appeared that the Stadium manager wasn't interested in the idea of an open day. I must surely be not alone in thinking that he's employed to help put events like this on??

Stadium tour seemed to be rather slow with large queues waiting.

In my mind an open day like this should at least involve the kids more with side shows, target football etc. The club is missing a great opportunity to engage with the fan base.

Grumpy rant over.

Sorry to hear that and I agree that the club should have organized it much better. In the end its all about the Kids IMO and selfies with the team and or Wrex should have been arranged along with the entertainments you suggest. One of us should raise at an up and coming public trust meeting.

The whole thing is a shambles, lets be honest. They don't even advertise it. Anyone who isn't on here probably wouldn't even know about it.

What it is now 7 or 8 years in, let them off they are still 'learning'. Alot of areas at the club have not improved in years they have gotten worse.

The announcement of the open day seems to move back further each year and wasn't helped by the change of date this year. I must admit I completely forgot it was on yesterday and saw little advertising. Agree that it should be much better organised.

A cursory glance on Twitter shows one post from the official account yesterday morning. The last one before that was on July 18th to notify of the date change.
