Great effort second half. JJ different class. Midfield played well. Hooper should of been MOTM

Glad I went for Grant to score 10 or more

Hope the remaining 9 happen before Christmas

Dibble 7 - Didn't think he was at fault with the goal and did everything well

Carra 7 - Solid, you know what you get from him.
Lawlor 7 - Standard
Pearson 6 - Ridiculous smacking it out of play up the left a number of times first half.Thankfully standard Pearson 2nd half.
Jennings 7 - Fair play he really put the effort in but lacks quality in the final 3rd.

Young 7 - Looked lost first half but the ball was flying over his head.Improved second half when we started playing
Summerfield 6 - Not convinced he's the answer alongside Young. They look too similar and neither really has any creativity.
Redmond 6 - I thought he struggled at times and looked a little lost

Grant 7 - Terrible touch 1st half but really stepped up 2nd half and took his goal well
Hooper 8 - Missed a good chance 1st half but kept going and excellent after the break.Goal and assist so got to be happy with that.
Harris 7 - Quite like him but first touch is awful at times. If he works on that we might have a player.

Overall happy with the 3 points as Barrow are no pushovers but midfield isn't right. We miss a Vose type to run at defences through the middle but we have no one in that class.

The 3 year deal for Quigley is hilarious. He was complete dog shit today.

Haha. I think he will be useful for us, he is strong and works hard. Can’t see him scoring many though.

As for someone suggesting Dibble could have done better for the goal, I doubt it. Ball in was perfect and the header came through in a flash.

Dibble: 7 - not much to do imo but great save for the 1v1 and not at fault for their goal

Carrington: 7 - One of our best players today
Pearson: 7 - hoof and moan but solid
Lawlor: 7 - solid enough
Jennings: 7 - Attacked well and dealt with Dior Angus on the wing

Young: 6.5 - poor first half good second half
Redmond: 6.5 - there's our playmaker, showed glimpses but weak in defensive duties
Summerfield 7 - in and out of the game but we played really well when he did

Harris: 6.5 - decent runs and touches, good pressing but can't shoot
Hooper: 11 - gets an extra mark for being a proper striker
Grant: 6.5 - Didn't actually know he was playing until he took the first corner in the second half, improved second half but nothing spectacular

Subs: McIntosh touched the ball a few times, Ruthers worked hard and Oswell went for a nice little runaround on a field

I think that was me but i didn't have the best view of the goal so happy to concede I might be being unfair on him. I also forgot about the 1 on 1 save, which was excellent. So now think my score for him was a little stingy.

This. No keeper is saving that one. Sometimes you just have to admit the keeper had no chance.

As I am always having a go at Summerfield I would just like to say how well he did today and deserved man of the match(And Hopper)One thing Summerfield did today was make forward runs and tried to be positive.Lets hope it rubs off on luke young.
